YellowStone National Park Day 1

Its time again to photo-blog on my Yellowstone National Park tour experience.

First day at Yellowstone National Park, located in the State of Wyoming. We entered the National Park throught the East Entrance and drove through Fishing Bridge Junction towards lake village. A one time entrance fee of US$25 is required to enter the park. By the time we settled our accomodation at Grant Village for the evening, its almost 7.30pm. Its still day light though so we visited the West Thumb Geyser Basin, a collection of hot springs in myriad of colors thanks to the active geothermal energy beneath the ground.

We were really lucky to encounter a bear on our first day at the park. The creature ventured onto the walk way of the West Thumb Geyser Basin and block our route of exit. We are of course excited to see the bear and was not in a hurry to escape. Just stood there and took lots of picture. Click on the picture below to view my "Day 1" web gallery.
