Two more days to go!!!

Yeah!!! 2 more days to go before I head to South Dakota for Joint Thunder Exercise 2007. My 2nd official out of state work trip after coming here for a year. The first was the aircraft spray painting project at Oklahoma. We have our off days tomorrow to prepare for the trip on Friday. I am expecting smooth operation once we reach there ( sit down, shake leg, read books, helicopter behave well, pack up and head back to Hotel). So today I prayed to "Tua Bei Gong" , the Jade Emperor and the Father, Son and the Holy ghost for blessing during the exercise period. This is the second time (as far as I know) RSAF participated in the Joint Thunder Exercise. Last year was a resounding success at the exercise for our Chinook community and I'm sure we gonna repeat or even be better than the same result we got last year.

Somehow, it felt more like a vacation to me than work because I get to see new places, take new photograph and finally have something more interesting to write in my blog. I admit, there is nothing much to write nowadays at work or outside work so this is a good chance to breath some life into this dull blog I got now.

Hmm South Dakota, what do we got there? Thats what I gonna do research on, not now but when I reach Rapid City South Dakota on Saturday. The hotel have free internet access and surely friendly staff to answer all my tourist query during my off duty hours. For what I know and heard now, I got to see the "四面佛" over at Mount Rushmore during our weekend R&R,

From left to right, its the US President 1, 2, 3 and 4

Next stop, enjoy my favorite game of Black Jack over at Four Aces Casino in Deadwood. I hope my luck is not as Dead as Wood as the name of the City imply but rather a luck of Four Aces as the name of the Casino brightly shows. Will be happy to win back my expenses for my stay during Joint Thunder. Ultimately the thrill and excitement of gambling is what I really seek rather than winning tons of money. Always believe in gambling, Winning is a bonus, playing the game is entertainment.

Money Money Money....must be funny

So far thats the only 2 places on my mind right now. If I discover more interesting places during my 2 weeks stay at South Dakota, rest assured it will not escape the fate of ending up in my blog for compliment or scrutinizing.

This will be a good time to read the books I brought from Half Price Book Store in the past. Will be carrying out my duty as a Tools IC and I hope no one need to book out tools to fix stuff during the exercise except for routine servicing, this way I will have opportunity to catch up on all my readings.

Hmm....Besides reading, I think its a good opportunity right there to take a look at the US Army Chinooks helicopter and find out how different are their maintenance practice from us. The first thing I wanna know is how this guys control their tools and what are the "special tools" they got to help them in servicing the Chinook. Probably learn a few nice ideas from them to help us work more efficiently and off course take picture too!!!
