Japan Self Defense Force

Impressive show of force by Japan. Like Japan, our country is facing a greying population and consequently a shrinking pool of young man and women joining the Singapore Armed Forces as part of our nation defense and deterrence elements. On the flip side, the highly educated people of our country gave us the edge over "you know who" when it comes to leveraging on modern military technology. What took 5 man, warship or planes to achieve takes only a single digit today to attain mission success. Yet again, Knowledge rather than pure brawls and hardwares is power in the 21st century.

The naval formation is impressive.

Seen Japanese warship before during my NS days. It is so well maintained... it looked like a big Tamiya model. These models are basically flawless if constructed properly. In Japan Navy case, it was a true replication.

The sailors are also disciplined and enthusiastic. And the uniform is nice.... unlike our office wear no. 3.

They use to be the strongest Navy Asia before and during WWII. Gone are the days. I had this feeling their soldiers are secretly been educated about the glorious history of their arm forces.

Not only their sailors, in fact most Japanese civilian are well disciplined. This had something to do with their education system.
