My Ambition

Let me share with you a little secret of mine. My ambition when I was very very young was to be a police officer. A common ambition of many primary school kids since we always experience their courage and their role in up holding the law from many story books and during social studies. Cop films also never fail to potray the Police Man as the guy who will save the day. Robocop, Police Academy, COPS (the cartoon), 飛虎隊, NYPD, Crime watch and many more. This stuff never fails to fill the young innocent mind with the glamour of being a police. Not untill one start to watch a Movie by Samuel L Jackson -- "THE NEGOTIATOR"--- when police are so corrupted that they are willing to frame a innocent man, an expert hostage negotiator, for murder he did not commit. Well, go watch "THE NEGOTIATOR" and you will know how great the film is.

There goes my childhood ambition. In Secondary school, my ambition was to be a Fighter pilot. Yet another glamorous ambition influence by TOP GUN, IRON EAGLE, INDEPENDENCE DAY blar blar blar. Fortunnately, I have a very high degree of Myopia which remove me from any aircraft accident statistics in the future. However, I am now as close as been a pilot as I can be, an Air Force Senior Technician working on Helicopters. Although I can't have a chance on the control columns flying planes or helicopters, at less I have many oppurtunity to conduct work, Airborne in the Chinook.

Working as a Technician in the Air Force was not my ambition at all. However its good money considering the situation I am currently in. Money is pretty essential right now. Seriously essential. ha ha.

Well, I like to settle down as a Public Transport bus driver after I leave the Air Force in 2009. Being a bus driver is my adult ambition right now. TIBS will be an ideal place to start with with their courteous serive and the fact that the drivers are address as BUS CAPTAIN, which really inject quite some pride and honour in what seems like a job that only require an O-level qualification. I just love big vehicle but too bad I can't just drive an M1A1 Abrams Tank on the road. My plan is to work in the public transport sector for a while to gain experience before buying a tour bus by myself. Gonna be self employed and bring tourist to and fro singapore and Malaysia, not missing out the oppurtunity to bring tourist to Singapore's Casino too.

At that time, I won't even need to stay in a HDB flat! Can use the bus as my home, like a caravan... So does my ambition sound weird or what?
