My best friend wedding....
Few months ago, I have the joy and honour of attending my life first friend's wedding. In fact it was Renhan, one of the brother of the 9 Dragon Clan. My heart was fill of happiness for the occasion, so much so that I am oblige to go on stage to sing not one but two songs for my dear brother and his wife.
Few days ago, I again experience the same joy and honour of attending my life second friend's wedding. In fact it was Liting, one of the sister of the 9 Dragon Clan. My heart was full of happiness for the occasion but this time not really keen to go on stage again. Hmmm...seems to be repeating myself.... ha ha. It was Liting and her husband, Chee Kiong, BIG day last sunday and it was the usual fanfare of food and music but with a uniquely different atmosphere.
2 wedding in a year and a baby coming very soon courtesy of Renhan and his wife, suddenly it just seems like time fly past so very quickly and people around me have become husband and wife, father and mother. I am sure there will be a few more marriage happening with friends around me within this 2 years. And you know the funny thing about Chinese marriage? It is like the last occasion that you can get Ang Bow, tons of it, before you forever upgrade to giving Ang Bow forever.
Time flies and sometime I felt I have become a bit stagnant in my life. Just suddenly, probably due to the wedding and the fact that all the friends I met on last sunday wedding are either married or attached, I felt like I need a women in my life, a companion, a life partner to share my success, trial and triabulation. Maybe add a little spark to my life which at the moment is probably climbing out of its lowest point. Kinda regret not cherishing the ladies I been with in the past especially "HER", who I met during Poly times. Got too carried away with my school work, too discipline just because I signed on, that I totally ignore and blind of her affection towards me. Untill that very faithful day, the last day we ever met but it was the day when we both really got to have a really really long chat on anything under the sun.... So heart wrenching to hear her say "I really like you but I have to go now". Sob.... she is going back to her homeland and probably won't be seeing her again. I frankly was dumbstrucked when I heard the words coming out from her and could not stop stirring the coffee and thinking of what to reply her but that might be because she kept on talking all the way (she was kind of talkative, like my mum).
We did not met for the next two weeks untill the day she depart from Changi Airport. I did not meet her at the airport as I was in Tekong but I did gave her a call and chat for a while, telling her to contact me when she come back to visit Singapore. That night, I start to think of all that she did for me and realise I was a foolish man not able to see through her "hinting" and take action. That night I could not sleep at all but the next morning I cleared my IPPT 2.4km run at a record time of 8.54...WEIRD....

DISCOVERED!!! Almost....
You believe in god? I do, and I am absolutely sure they are around me all the time!
GOD actually tell my mum, through a "tan ke" a.k.a spirt's medium that I am riding bike right now! Oh yes, I got a good lecturing by my mum even though I told her I am riding, as a pillion only. Of course, its a lie as you all know after viewing the pics of my scooter.
Tsk tsk tsk. Why do mum always get so worried about me riding bike? Is it because of the statistic? Anyway, its a cold war between me and her right now.... I truly believe when its time to "go", you can never avoid it whether you are driving a car, riding a bike or just plain walking.

Business in gaming?
Now this is how my new business plan will be like this, in simple format--
Its a gaming business and all I need is my trusty PS2, a controller and a racing game. I will chose Gran Turismo 4 in this case. I am planning to conduct a video game car racing competition which should initially last for a month. What happen here is that registered contestant, who will pay a nominal fee, will get to race on a preset race track with a preset car. The contestant will have his name put up on a chart. The next contestant comes in, race and if his race time beats the previous contestant, he will be first on the chart. This goes on and on for the following contestants untill a month is up. Contestant with the best lap time will win a prize, which and the moment I can only think of is a cash price. 2nd placing and third placing will get something too.
Of course, there must be a way for everyone interested to keep track of the progress in this month long competition. To ensure better publicity and information sharing, a website will be set up to keep track of the competition progress plus build up eagerness in past contestant to come back and race again when they loss their placing.
And there you go....a simple business plan!!!

NO CASINO PLEASE!!!
What a coincident. Just when we are all debating about whether to built a casino or not (actually don't even need to debate, ultimately PAP still make the decision), the Tampines' Family Tragedy happened. For those who have not been reading the news paper, this tragedy is about a man, who own loan shark so much money due to gambling, that he have to take his wife and children with him to Heaven (or is it hell?).
This incident send a very very strong signal to our dear government about the danger of Casino in Singapore. Our government have already hinted us that they are GOING to built a Casino somewhere in Singapore. If it was me making the decesion, I will say a big NO to the Casino. Want to Gamble? Go Genting Highland or go on a Cruise ship but never never give our citizen the convinient access of Casino at the home ground less we expect more of such family tragedy to happen.
That does no mean that I am against gambling or casino. I still love to try my luck now and again in the name of fun and I feel I am still discipline enough in front of a deck of 52 cards, knowing when to give up and when to keep the winning spree going. However not everyone will be able to hold back the allure of a Casino life. So, yet again, NO CASINO IN SINGAPORE please.
Finally, remember that the governmet are setting all sorts of restriction on Singaporeans if they intend to enter a local Casino (if its built). Its RESTRICTION, which means you eventually still will land onto the gambling table after obeying certain rules like putting a deposit, paying member fee....etc...etc.... The Casino will eventually be just like the Malboro or Lucky Strike ciggarettes, high import tax, high price and the coming restriction in many public areas. This feel like cutting the weeds without removing its root. People still can smoke and people still can gamble, the implication are still around, Heart attack, highblood pressure, lung cancer, Loan Shark, Mass Organized Suicide. Man....the government should open both their eyes and ears and stop making decision that does no benefit us at all although someone, we know, is earning all the revenue from the Casino operation. ;-)
