Oi! Danny Chua, are you a primary 5 kid or a 30 years old man with a primary school kid mentality? I read you letter already feel like "han taming" you back to reality! How the hell can you expect and rationalize for NEA (National Enviromental Agency) to fine the Town council? Its like telling the government to take money out of their right pocket and putting it back to their left pocket leh!!! With you lame solution, you allowed the government to juggle our tax money in their own hands just to satisfy and assure some gullible Singaporeans that action (no action in this case) have been taken. Please wake up to reality lah my dear friend, you think everything the government can suka suka privatise? Power Suppy, Water supply, Mobile services, SMRT, TIBS.....they are all still partially government own ok?
If I read inbetween the lines I think you must be a disgrunted resident staying in Potong Pasir right? You want the NEA to come and fine your town council jialat jialat and instead of using the fines collected to fight mosquitoes in Potong Pasir, the money will be directed to "Pay And Pay" for mosquitoes busting operation in other district. So Danny, you want the whole Potong Pasir to be infested with mosquitoes so that the next General Election will be a walk over right? Very very clever solution.....can save time and energy....no need for both contesting party to blow their trumpets and lelong themselves during GE.
Hey Danny Chua, if you solution can work than I can even propose for Air Force to fine the Army when their Guards unit is late to board the helicopters for operation or the Air Force can fine the Navy when their LST sail too fast for our Super Puma to land (because they are desperate for R&R in Thailand). This way I can set up a new Enforcement department and collect lots of fines so Air Force can get lotsa budget every year, maybe than the Air Force can buy stealth fighter. Ha ha. Now our government is fighting hard against the Dengue epidemic, PLEASE give some constructive solution on how to stop the spread of Dengue or eradicate the Aedes Mosquitoes but not just FINE FINE FINE. Yes Singapore is a FINE city but the FINE is for the citizen only. Danny Chua solution sure is the FINEST.
Oh and regarding the Dengue Funds, I hope it will not be another NKF scandal but I don't mind to be the Chairman holding the funds, at less can have a gold tap, "peanuts" allowance and Business class air ticket.
